How to Prepare for a Longevity Consultation

A useful longevity consultation begins with an accurate picture of your health, priorities and expectations. Preparing a few details in advance helps the physician focus the conversation and identify which next steps, if any, are appropriate.

Gather relevant health information

Bring recent blood tests, imaging reports or specialist letters that may affect the discussion. A concise timeline of important diagnoses, operations and previous treatments can also be useful.

  • Current medicines and doses
  • Supplements and non-prescription products
  • Allergies and previous reactions
  • Relevant family and personal medical history

Describe your goals clearly

Consider what you hope to understand or improve, and which concerns are most important now. Specific questions create a more useful conversation than choosing a procedure before assessment.

Include your daily health context

Sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, alcohol and tobacco use can influence assessment and planning. Honest information gives the physician better context and is handled as part of your private medical consultation.

Questions worth asking

Ask why a test or program is being considered, what evidence supports it, what alternatives are available and how suitability will be assessed. You can also ask about visit length, monitoring, aftercare and total price before deciding.

What happens next

The physician may discuss further assessment, an individual plan, standard medical follow-up or no treatment at this stage. Recommendations are not automatic, and you should have the opportunity to consider the information before proceeding.
